Bella's Butterflies out now!
Sarah is a children’s book author and special educational needs coordinator in a primary school.
She lives in Buckinghamshire in England with her husband, two grown-up children and two very spoilt cats!
Sarah loves to talk to the children at school about the books they like reading. In her spare time, she reads and writes as much as she can, enjoys taking long walks, watching ice hockey and drinking coffee.
Sarah lived in Holland until she was 11 years old. When she moved to England, she learnt the language very quickly, due to spending all her time reading. She adored Enid Blyton’s Malory Towers and Twins at St Clare’s series and she still reads them now!
In 2018, Sarah was diagnosed with breast cancer. Writing was a great escape for her during her treatment. She is now more determined than ever to send her books out into the world for children and adults to enjoy.
"Becoming a published author has been a long journey. There is so much competition out there! But as they say in Holland, ‘De aanhouder wint’ or ‘It’s persistence that accomplishes something’."
